2020 Census

2020 Census BannerAs mandated by the U.S. Constitution, our nation gets just one chance each decade to count its population. The U.S. census counts every resident in the United States. It is mandated by Article I, Section 2 of the Constitution and takes place every 10 years. The data collected by the census determine the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives (a process called apportionment) and is also used to distribute billions in federal funds to local communities.

Census Awareness Videos

The Hot Springs Census Local Complete Count Committee  (LCCC) is very excited to launch videos from our 2020 Census Video Awareness Project. We invited the local school districts and college to submit videos. The videos will be released one school per day over the next few days. Each group did an outstanding job and we thank them for their hard work!!!! Today’s video is from the Hot Springs School District and the National Park College Student Government Association.
