VETERAN SERVICES OFFICER

          The Veterans Service Office assists veterans, their spouses and dependents in obtaining all benefits to which they are entitled from the U.S. Veterans Administration.  Services provided include answering questions, providing applicable forms and assisting in completion, assisting with legal representation of the formal claim process and appeals.  Referrals are made to other social service agencies as needed.  The Veterans Service Officer can also assist veterans with establishing membership into local veteran service organizations. In-home service is available for those who are unable to leave their homes or are without relatives or a friend to provide transportation to one of the office sites.

          The Veterans Service Officer is available to meet personally with area veterans.  The main office is located in the Courthouse on the 4^th floor.
