Greetings
and welcome to historic Garland County. Our county has always been a special place.
President Andrew Jackson made Hot Springs, our county seat, the first Federal Reservation
in 1832, the first piece of America protected for future generations. Hot Springs was, in
essence, America's first national park.
Garland County offers something for everyone to love with its exquisite
natural beauty, fun outdoor activities, and a host of historical, cultural, recreational,
and family attractions. Our county isn't typical either. It's more diverse ethnically and
more cosmopolitan than most others its size. It has a diverse economy supported by strong
tourism, manufacturing, medical and retirement location industries.
This is a good place to live and work. No person could enjoy being its county judge as much as I do. Each day I am confronted with new and challenging opportunities to serve our people. Whether it's presiding over a public meeting, or helping find long-range solutions to growth and development problems, or handling the complaint of someone with a pothole on their street, I find my job as Garland County Judge satisfying and rewarding.
Thanks for inquiring about Garland County. Our citizens are proud of their unique county and we extend you a cordial invitation to visit soon.
Sincerely,
Larry Williams
Garland County Judge
