Garland County Judge
Larry Williams assumed the Office of County Judge on January 1, 1995 and is currently serving his sixth term.
Judge Williams has a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Henderson State University. He is an adjunct faculty member at National Park Community College where he teaches State & Local Government.
Judge Williams is the president of the County Judges Association of Arkansas and serves on the Board of Directors for that organization. He is a member of the board for the West Central Arkansas Planning and Development District where he serves as president. He is also a member of the boards of the Garland County Economic Development Corporation, Hot Springs Area- Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), and Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce. He is chairman of the Garland County Intergovernmental Cooperation Council and the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC).
Judge Williams brings to the office more than 20 years experience in county government administration and five years experience in public relations and marketing in both the public and private sector. Judge Williams also served a year on the Quorum Court in 1982.
He is a member of First United Methodist Church in Hot Springs.
